Trinity Power Systems was founded on January 20, 1981, during a time of economic uncertainty, with interest rates at 20%. Despite the challenges, the founders, Rives and Linda McCord, sought the Lord’s guidance and moved forward in faith, receiving the financial means to begin operations. In the early years, the company gained momentum, but the 1983 downturn in the Gulf Coast’s oil and shipbuilding industries forced Trinity to adapt. Expanding beyond marine applications, the company leveraged its energy control and distribution expertise to serve new markets.
One of TPS's first major non-marine projects was providing a switchboard and control console for a bridge over the Ouachita River in Louisiana, leading to further opportunities in diverse industries. Today, Trinity Power Systems continues to grow, offering Marine Switchboards, Control Consoles for bridges, energy distribution solutions, and PLC control for generator paralleling. Through faith, innovation, and perseverance, the company remains a trusted leader in power solutions.

Founder and President
Rives McCord, President and Owner of Trinity Power Systems brings over 50 years of expertise in control system design, a field he has specialized in since 1974. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Nicholls State University and leverages his extensive industry knowledge and commitment to innovation to lead the company. Under his leadership, Trinity Power Systems continues to deliver cutting-edge solutions and exceptional service to its clients.
MARK McCORD
Vice President of Operations
Mark McCord, Vice President of Trinity Power Systems, has been designing advanced control systems since 1994. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans, he brings a wealth of technical expertise and leadership experience to the company. Mark plays a pivotal role in overseeing operations, optimizing system performance, and driving the continued success of Trinity Power Systems.
